BA Falcon Engine Miss
I had this interaction with one of my customers. I though you might be interested and emails between us are included below. It started by the customer asking me if I thought these coils would help fix BA Falcon engine miss. These were coils I had received from my manufacturer that were not quite up to the performance I had enviseged and were down slightly on power. I was dissapointed at the time because I was trying to update our coils and something went wrong in the translation
So I though I at least out to try them out so I put a set in my own car that is just a garden variety Fairlane Ghia so no modifications and headed of to Surfers. To say the least I was surprised at how they suited the car, but that’s another story I’ll tell later.
I don’t run our performance BA ignition coil in the Fairlane it’s not designed for it. Our Drifteer coil is designed for the XR6.
I put a listing on ebay and danmcourt from New Zealand bought a set. Quite a few emails back and forth and I have his permission to use them.
It starts by him asking me if our ignition coils will make a difference.

Dear autotrad179,
I sure am. Under load it misses badly but runs fine at idle and low
throttle.
Just when you give it a boot full it struggles. Such a slug to
drive.
Changed the plugs and made no difference….so has to be coils
surely.
Can’t wait…Cheers! 🙂

Dear autotrad179,
Gudday Milton,
I can confirm the coils were the
problem.
The difference in performance is like night and day! It’s never
gone this well.
Have to be careful in the wet now. J
Amazing
difference…thanks for a bloody great product.
I will place feedback on
ebay.
Cheers, Dan. J
Dear danmccort,
Fantastic Dan
Thats exactly what I thought when I first put them in my
car. Like I said in the add, they were a mistake so its a bit hard to say
what the difference is.

Milton

Hi Milton,
Well that was one fortuitous mistake that works very well mate. J
I put what I could into the feedback, but it’s limited to how much I could enter. It’s all positive though.
If you have anyone who wants an independent testimony, just get them to email me.
I’m happy to endorse a product that works and especially being relatively local (compared to China or the States etc.), I’m more than willing to.
Thanks once again and I will definitely keep you first in mind for future purchases. J
Cheers,Dan.
Now when you in business, you can talk about the money you make and the sales, but those feelings don’t compare to the satisfaction of a customer with a problem solved.
Until next time.
Keep it straight!
