  1. Hi Gabriele.
Unfortunately no one can reply on this page, however we are happy to address your problem:
The only way to really test your coils is with the appropriate equipment. You can however check the resistance across the secondary and primary coils with a Multi Meter. If your readings are consitant across all the coils and the coils fire ok in your engine then you probably don’t have a coil issue.

Your Drifter coils would not be affected with a consistance 13+ volts in fact should perform better and what you have now is in the top order in power delivery.
You would be more likely to get problems with spark plugs set too close.

We recommend you start with your plugs set at the recommended factory settings and then move out in .02 steps until you are satisfied with how your car is performing.

Plugs are always an important issue when seeking performance. We recommend good quality plugs at all times
and Drifter coils can handle a wider setting than conventional OEM coils.

    Hope this helps
    Keep it straight (or not)

  2. Hello all
I gota set of autotrad coil packs from autotrad been working great for the past year great improvement from the factory coil packs
My question in the last year I replaced alternator because of low charge rates and replaced my battery for a optima red top to give stable voltage at 13.95 atm
So how can I test my coil packs ? As coil packs need voltage a good level otherwise if it goes below 12 volts
    They be fried
    Thanks heaps any help

  4. I did this on my fg after fkn aroumd with my throttle body and its fixed! Youre a lifesaver.

What are all the electrical loads i should put on when in neutral idle?

I’m not sure i did step one for 2 minutes either but i did all the others with a stopwatch. Might need to try again. Electrical loads i had on were headlights, and air conditioner. Are there any more i should do? Cheers so much
