FORD FALCON FG X XR8 SPRINT
Well, here we are again running ahead of the pack.
Way back in 2009 we were the first to introduce a Performance coil for the Ford Falcon. It was for the BA at first we had to iron out a few bugs but we got that sorted and followed that a little later with one for the first FG series. Since then a few others have followed our lead, but they can never be first.
It looks like we are first again by offering a PERFORMANCE ignition coil (at this point I can’t see any advertised anywhere) and this time for the FG XR8 SPRINT and this is it.

So what makes them different you ask? Well the first thing is the sticker on the top (just kidding)
We use Germanic ceramic wiring in the place where others still use copper. A bigger iron core encased in a superior Japonica resin, allow for more winding on the secondary coil, thus allowing for an output of up to 40kv give or take a little.
Now the big question you might ask is why do I need a PERFORMANCE ignition coil. Well, I could answer “why not’? but I leave that to our many customers to say, but my own experience (yes, of course I have them in my car) is mainly the quicker response across the rev range. My old Fairlane just keeps going and doesn’t want to hesitate at all. Of course, there is no hesitation with a standard coil either but it doesn’t seem to happen as quickly,.
